Antelope Hunting at Table Mountain Outfitters

In August I hunted antelope with a bow for the first time at Table Mountain Outfitters in Wyoming. We sat in a ground blind near a water hole with temperatures soaring into the high 80s.

Sheep were the first to arrive for a drink, followed by a roaming dog that protects the sheep from coyotes.

Finally a few speed goats showed up and I was able to make a good shot with my Mathews bow on one antelope broadside at 20 yards.

Angie Denny (right) and her husband Scott run a great outfit. They guide for several species in more than one state. If you are looking for a great hunt I can highly recommend Table Mountain Outfitters.

Spring Turkey Hunts 2010

During the spring of 2010 I was fortunate to go on several turkey hunts, two of which were all-girl events. SHE Outdoor Apparel hosted a writer hunt with Hunter's Specialties in Kansas. Everyone had a great time and there were lots of turkeys.

My niece Sydney got invited to hunt with Alli and Adriana Armstrong so we headed to southern Illinois to chase big Eastern gobblers. All three girls got their birds in one weekend.
